Pattern: Indigo Ripples Skirt by Kat Coyle from Interweave Knits Spring 2007
Yarn(s): Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece (5 skiens, 1,075 yards)
Colorway(s): Jungle Green
Needle(s): Size 6 KnitPick Options
Casted On: July 4, 2007
Casted Off: May 8, 2008
Modifications: I did sssk’s instead of Sl1, K2Tog, psso in the lace portion of the skirt. I will be the first one to admit that I do not know a great deal about garment construction to make educated changes to a pattern. So, if I were to do it again, I would either go down a size and increase a little more so much OR I would make the same size and would not increase as much. I would probably do more research on how to make a skirt hug ya a little more. But overall, I’m quite happy with this skirt.

Pattern: Fana Cap by Charlene Schurch from Hats On!
Yarn(s): 1.25 skeins of Karabella Aurora 8 & 1 skein of Rowan RYC Cashsoft DK
Colorway (s): purple & lime (respectively)
Needle(s): Size 6 DPNs for twisted ribbing
Size 8 16 inch circular for main part
Size 7 DPNs for the decreases
Casted On: Early March then it hibernated for a while so I’m unsure of the dates
Casted Off: April 1, 2008
Modifications: In the decrease section, the pattern called for SSKs and I replaced them with a slip 1, knit one and pass slipped stitch over. I felt it looked better. Because I was nervous that the hat was/is too big, I changed to size 7s for the decreases. I’m not sure if that made a huge difference but I tried.

Pattern: Oz Vest by Louisa Harding from Natural Knits for Babies and Moms.
Yarn(s): Lion Brand, Cotton Ease
Colorway: Lake & Stone (One skein each)
Needle(s): Size 6 & 7 KnitPick Options
Casted On: March 9, 2008
Casted Off: March 20, 2008
Modifications: I started this vest in the round as opposed to knitting it in two pieces. I did this for the sake of simplicity but I also did this in case the stripes didn’t match up, for whatever reason. I don’t think I carried the colors up the vest as well as I could have but there’s always time to learn, right? Finally, I knit this in a much larger size.

Modifications: I did the first sock with three purls between pattern repeats like the instructions stated. I tried it on and it was a tad tight. Not so tight that it was even uncomfortable but for the second one, I added one more purl stitch and it was comfier
